Folix (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an AI-powered portfolio builder that helps users create, publish, and manage personal or business portfolios. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use folix.io, subdomains, and related services (“Service”).

By using Folix, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: name, email, username, password, authentication data.
  • Profile/Portfolio Content: text, images, links, project descriptions, custom domain details.
  • Billing Information: payment card details (processed securely via Stripe; we never store card numbers).
  • Communications: messages, support requests, feedback.
  • AI Input Data: prompts and content submitted for AI generation.

1.2 Information Automatically Collected

  • Device information (browser, OS, screen size)
  • IP address and rough location
  • Usage analytics (page views, time on site)
  • Cookies and tracking technologies
  • Error logs and performance data

1.3 Third-Party Data Sources

We may receive limited data from authentication providers, payment processors, analytics tools, and social accounts you intentionally link (e.g., GitHub, LinkedIn).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to operate portfolios, provide AI content generation, authenticate and secure accounts, send updates, process payments, analyze performance, improve features, provide support, detect fraud/abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We never sell your personal data.

3. How We Share Information

3.1 Service Providers — Hosting (Vercel), databases (Supabase or MongoDB/Prisma), authentication, analytics, Stripe, email delivery. Vendors must comply with privacy laws and cannot use your data for their own purposes.

3.2 Legal Compliance — We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to prevent illegal activity.

3.3 Business Transfers — If Folix merges, sells assets, or reorganizes, your information may transfer as part of the transaction. You will be notified.
